Specialty Services

Our specialists see patients by appointment and referral only. They use information provided by the referring veterinarian, as well as advanced equipment not available to many general practitioners, to provide the highest level of diagnostic and therapeutic modalities to their patients.

They also communicate regularly with the family vet to ensure that the pet owner and the pet receive the most thorough and compassionate care possible.

The relationship developed between the specialist and the family vet allows the pet to continue to receive long-term follow-up from a collaborating team of veterinarians.

Although the specialists in these areas are located at OSVS, they are always available for our doctors to consult with or refer patients to.

The ophthalmology service offers both medical and surgical care for animals of all varieties. We see small animals and exotics at OSVS, and can arrange to see large animal patients on an ambulatory basis.

Ophthalmology is a highly specialized discipline, requiring diagnostic and surgical instrumentation not usually available in a general practice setting. An ophthalmologist can offer both the necessary instrumentation and expertise to diagnose and treat your pet’s ocular disease.

Consultations are available Monday through Thursday and on an emergency basis as needed.
